1. Introduction
1.1 What is Tesla Service Mode?
It is interface to read alert, fault code and perform most common repairs. It also allows car owner to diagnose car without paying anything from anywhere.
1.2 What is Tesla Service Mode Plus?
It is an extension of Service Mode. It allows additional features to perform diagnosis and repairs. Service Mode Plus is for Car Repair Workshops. To get in Service Mode Plus, you need Toolbox access. Tesla toolbox is not free and cost depend on different subscription. Subscription cost daily $165, monthly $500 or annually $3,000 on Tesla Website. In case, if you need access for particular days with good price. Please contact us.

2. How to use Service Mode?
- On the touchscreen, click Controls (vehicle icon) > Software
- Touch and hold the large word "MODEL" for 4 seconds and then release.
- Enter "service" as access code.
- Once Service Mode will be active, you will see red border around the edges of the touchscreen.
2.1. Service Alerts?
After clicking on Service Alerts. User can read service alerts, fault codes, warning. If there is anything wrong with car. It will show on screen.
There are different view for Service-Fix (designed for technician) and Customers.
Service-Fix view is designed for Workshop/Technician and Customer view for Car Owner.
2.2. How to read alert?
If it says "a" "f"and "w" in code, it stands for "alert", "Fault" and "Warning".

2.3. How to Exit from Tesla Service Mode?
Controls (vehicle icon) > Service Mode > "Exit Service Mode" at the top of the Service Menu
3. How to Fix Alert
Some of alert could come because of software bugs. Some of alert could resolve after restarting the system, software update/reinstall. In some case, car might need hardware repair.
3.1 Restart System
Some of alert could resolve after restarting the touchscreen or power of the car.
Restart Touchscreen
Firstly, you could try with soft reset (restart touchscreen)
How to restart soft reset (restart touchscreen)
- Please shift car into park.
- Hold down both scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns black.
- Please wait approximately 30 seconds for the touchscreen to restart.

Powering Off the Car
If soft reset (restart touchscreen) have not resolved the alert/issue. You could try hard reset (Powering Off the car).
- Please shift car into park
- On the touchscreen please touch Controls > Safety > Power Off
- Please wait for at least for two minutes without interacting with the car. Please do not open the doors, touch the brake pedal, touch the touchscreen etc.
- After 2 minutes, please press the brake pedal or open the door to wake the car (Source Tesla)
3.2 Software issue
Some of alert could be related to software issue.
Firmware not Updated
One of main reasons could be that firmware is not updated. Have you checked recent update and updated to recent version? If not, we recommend you to do that. Please read more details in another guide. Link
Software Bug and Glitches
One of reason could be problem with software bug and glitches. Did you get alert after updating recent software version? If yes, it could resolve with future software version. Please send us Service Alert screenshot. So we will inform you if it could be related to bug.

8.1 Driver Assist
It cover camera and sensor settings. It could be used to check camera, sensor condition/fault, reset DAS, clear camera calibration, camera preview etc.
8.2 Infotainment
It cover connectivity, Software and ECU.
8.3 High Voltage
There are four sections under High Voltage section: Charging, HV Systems, HV Battery, HVIL
HV Battery
In case if there will be any issue with HV Battery. You would be able to see.
HV Systems
HV Systems shows the high voltage systems/components in the car. It also shows internal and external isolation. You will be able to see if there any isolation issue. You will also able to see if contactors are open.

8.4 Low Voltage
There are two sections under low voltage: Power Distribution and HomeLink
Power Distribution: could be used for changing/reset battery.

8.5 Thermal
There are four sections under Thermal: Actions, Refrigerant System, Coolant System, HVAC.
It could be used to check if you have any AC issue.
Actions: There are different test, which could be used for diagnosis/repair.
Test HVAC Performance
After performing test, you will be able to see failed test in case if something is not working as expected.

8.6 Chasis
There are five sections under chasis: Suspension, Alignment and Tires, Steering, SCCM and Brakes.
Alignment & Tires:
- Clear Applied Offset
- Offset Drive Test - it will show whether alignment is centered or not.

8.7 Closures
There are windows and door handles under closures.
8.8 Safety & Restraints
There are airbags and seats under safety and restraints section.
