1. Introduction

There could be some reasons that your car need new tire. Some of common reasons could be damage, uneven wear, less thread depth etc.

1.1 When to Replace Tesla Tires

It is recommend to replace tire every 6 years or earlier if thread depths are 4/32 in. (3 mm) or less.

If a tire set has become worn. You should replace all four tires at the same time. It is important to buy correct tire to reduce road noise & optimize handling, ride and range.

Tire degrade over the time due to the effect of ultraviolet lights, extreme temperatures, high loads (electric car are heavier as compared to petrol/diesel cars), and environmental conditions.

1.2 How to check Tire Tread Depth?

2. Tire Rotation

Tesla recommends to rotate tire every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or if tread depth difference is 1.55 mm whichever comes first.
