1. Introduction

There could be many reason that you would like to upgrade our car Infotainment/MCU System. Some of common reason could be to have access new and more advanced features and smoother User Experience.

1.1 What is MCU

MCU stands for "Media Control Unit". 

1.2 Which cars are eligible? 

Car Owner for Model S & X built in March 2018 or earlier are eligible to buy an Infotainment Upgrade.  

1.3 Benefits 

    Entertainment: users will be able to access to features like video streaming and an expanded Tesla Arcade.  
    Performance: users will have more responsive and faster touchscreen experience, better picture quality & web pages faster. 

    1.4 Premium Connectivity 

    Users need Premium Connectivity to enable some feature with Upgraded Infotainment. 

    2. Cost 

    2.1 Car equipped with Autopilot Computer 2.0

    This Infotainment upgrade and installation will cost you around $2,250 plus applicable tax

    2.2 Car equipped with Autopilot Computer 2.5

    This Infotainment upgrade and installation will cost you around $1,750 plus applicable tax. 

    2.3 How to check which Autopilot my car has? 

    You can check by selecting ‘Controls’ > ‘Software’ > ‘Additional Vehicle Information’ on your car touchscreen.

    1. Will Radio work after Upgrade?

    Upgraded infotainment is not compatible with original radio tuner which comes with car. If you would like to have Radio. You need to pay extra 500 Euro for Radio. Radio does not cover with standard upgrade.
