Tesla recommends to rotate tire every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or if tread depth difference is 2/32" (1.55 mm) or greater, whichever comes first. (Source Tesla)
3. When to replace Tire?
Tesla recommends to replace a tire if any of the thread depths are 4/32 in. (3 mm) or less.

10. How to do Tesla Tire Rotation
1. Firstly, remove all 4 wheels.
2. Check if your car tires are offset or directional.
3. Reinstall car wheel according to the type of your car tires.
Wheel need to reinstall depend on what type of tire tire car has. There are directional and non-directional tires.
How to check whether car has directional or non-directional tires?
There could be visible arrows/words "Direction/Rotation".
3.1. Non-Directional Tires
3.1.1 If your car has Non-Directional Tires and all tires are the same size.
- You need to move front tires to opposite side in rear and move rear tires only to front.
3.1.2 If your car has Non-Directional Tires and Front and Rear tires are the different size.
- You need to move LH to RH. Do not move front to rear.
3.2 Directional Tires
Please check on the sidewall of tire if there is an arrow which shows specific rotation direction. If so, its directional tires. When the car is traveling forward, theses tires must roll in the indicated direction.
- Move front tires to rear. Do not move from LH to RH.
4. Install all 4 car wheels
5. Install wheel cap, if your car is equipped.
5. Reset the tire estimates using one of the following methods:
It need to reset to prevent loss of regenerative braking and clear the tire rotation alert after tire service.
5.1 On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Chassis > Alignment & Tires > Reset Learned Tire Values and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Controls > Service > Wheel & Tires, choose tire season and click reset. After reset, please check if "Tire Service Mileage" in the upper right corner is displayed "less than 500 km ago".
Short calibration drive cycle might be required.
Note: Please make sure that lug nuts are torqued after replacing tires.

3. How to rotate if replaced only 2 new tires?
